B-737 NG (ATP or Commercial) Type Rating
Crew Pilot Training (CPT) has a 34-year history training B-737 pilots for all major airlines especially SOUTHWEST. All our Staff, instructors and examiners are retired or close to retiring from the Airlines. The Boeing 737 type rating is a Common Rating which is good for all 737 aircraft. CPT offers a differences course for the pilots that require training on a specific series aircraft for insurance purposes. For the Commercial rated pilots wanting to add the ATP license, bring the original copy of your ATP written examination and CPT will add the ATP at No extra charge.
- B-737 Volume 1 Operations & Volume 2 Systems manuals, (E-Pubs).
- Colored cockpit panels. Located on our password protected website.
- 48+ hours of actual classroom ground instruction.
- 2 hours Fixed Base Training (FTD). Conducted in the actual FFS without motion and visual.
- 28 hours full flight simulator (FFS) if partnered, which will include Line Oriented Flight Training (LOFT) and FAA certification ride with one of our Training Center Examiners (TCE) or the FAA.
- Training and checking is accomplished in a Level (C or D) 6 axes (EFIS) FAA approved FULL flight simulator under our FAA 142 Certificate #VQPX292K.
Minimum Course Requirements
USA FAA Commercial Pilot license, Multi-Engine with Instruments. For the pilot adding the FULL ATP with the type rating Google FAR 61.159 flight experience and for the pilot applying for the RESTRICTECD ATP. YOU MUST MEET 61.159 Flight Experience. Valid civilian FIRST class medical by the first day of class ONLY if applying for Veterans benefits. For the student attending without Veterans Benefits NO medical is required. See FAR 61.63 and/or 61.64 (2) regulation for more information on how to qualify for entry into the B-737 simulator only program. You must meet at least one of the 5 different rules to qualify for entry or a limitation of 25 hours will be added to your license.

Depending on your flight experience plan 10 to 11 days. With the understanding you will download the pubs and do some pre-study at home.

Documents required to Complete Enrollment
The following document copies must be received prior to class date via email to email@example.com
|ATP (or) Commercial license:||If you hold the ATP we will need a GOOD CLEAR copy (pdf) front and back, and signed. If you hold a Commercial license and have the ATP written, CPT will need a (pdf) copy of the ATP exam results and the ATP certificate from the ATP-CTP school you attended.|
|Medical:||A (pdf) copy of your current (FIRST) class CIVILIAN medical. Remember you don’t need one unless you will be filing for VA benefits. You may wait on the medical as we don’t need it until right before your class date.|
|Copy of passport OR Birth Certificate:||If you use your Birth Certificate we will need TWO forms of picture ID and make them clear (pdf) copies please.|
|Picture:||Photo (Jpeg) current (about the size of a passport) in color. This is a requirement of the TSA. Take a selfie of yourself with your smartphone.|
|VA information:||COPIES of all college transcripts that you list on VA form 22-1990 block 14C. Unofficial copies are OK.|
B-737 NG Type Rating Course Tuition: $10,000
A first deposit of $1,500 is required when enrolling and can be received by one of 3 ways:
- M/C or Visa no service charge for the first deposit.
- Personal check
- Bank transfer (CPT uses Bank of America).
The course balance ($8,500) is due in our home office 10 days prior to class by a Personal Check or Bank Transfer (CPT uses Bank of America). Please contact the home office for bank transfer information at (281) 360-1010 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Service charge (3%) applies when using credit card for the second deposit.
Additional Full Flight Simulator (FFS) training is available at a cost of $550.00 per hour (in two hours blocks) which includes the instructor.

NOTE: For the students that have USAA checking accounts, USAA will only let you transfer $5,000.00 each 24 hours, so you need to think about transferring early.
We are VA approved for veterans benefits. VA refunds normally take approximately 4 to 8 weeks after graduation. Upon completion of the course, CPT will provide copies of all VA paperwork that were filed on your behalf.

All foreign students, and students holding Green Cards, must apply for TSA approval prior to attending class. This is a requirement even if you have been approved at another U.S. flight school, regardless of visa; approval is required for each U.S. flight school or center you wish to attend. You must apply through www.flightschoolcandidates.gov at least four weeks prior to class.
